About Peninsula Power FC

Peninsula Power FC was founded in the year 2000 following the merger of two established clubs from the Redcliffe region; Margate FC and Redcliffe FC. Power is a club that prides itself on developing talent of all ages and genders, from the grass-roots members, Squirts and Junior programs all the way through to the varying levels of the senior leagues. Following the formation of the club in 2000, the club competed in the Men’s Brisbane Division 1 league, the third tier of football in the area, and after a number of near misses, the club earned promotion to the Brisbane Premier League in 2006. It was following this promotion that the Men’s team began to establish themselves as a real force in the Men’s footballing landscape, finishing runners up in 2008, then clinching the Brisbane Premier League title in 2009. This was followed by three consecutive Grand Final titles in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2018, the club took part in the newly formed Football Queensland Premier League, taking out the title and earning promotion to the Queensland National Premier League (NPL). The upward trajectory of the club continued even further, with the club winning the QLD NPL title in 2020 and 2021. Today, Peninsula Power competes in the Football Queensland National Premier League Men, Women and FQ Academy Tier 1 for Junior Boys and Girls competitions. Outside of the Men’s game, Peninsula Power Football Club has a long history of celebrating success in both Junior Girls and Senior Women’s Football. The club’s mission is to continue to provide a clear and affordable pathway for Female Football Players, from Junior participation into Senior Football with qualified sports trainers, efficient friendly team managers and appropriate facilities in place.
